TOM:  Thank you outgoing Parish Council members, John O’Neil and Gina Ala for their many years of faithful service to Mary Queen of Peace Parish.  A welcome and thank you for their willingness to serve to our new Parish Council leaders:  Chair:  Sharon Blevens, Vice-Chair: Stella McStoots and Secretary, Sabrina Nalley.  Also a welcome to new members: Tina Johnson and Wayne Bramer

 

TRIVIA NIGHT  Saturday, February 4th from 7-midnight.  Doors open at 6.  Admission is $10 per person.  Mulligans will be for sale for $10.  One set per table.  Food may be brought but no coolers or beverages.  You may have up to 8 players per table.  Pull tabs, raffles and ‘Heads or Tails’.  For more information call 448-4008.

 

MQOP FIRST EUCHARIST PARENT MEETING  will be held Monday, January 23rd at 7 p.m. in the school meeting room at the St. Helen Campus.

 

OPEN HOUSE will be held at Notre Dame Academy on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, 8:00am to 11:00am for parents of current students and parents interested in 1st time enrollment for the 2012-13 school year. New families can also attend open house from 5:00 - 7:00pm.

 

PRE-REGISTRATION for the 2012-13 school year for all NEW STUDENTS entering grades K-8 will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012, from 8am - 11:00am in the school office and 5:00pm - 7:00pm in the Community Room.

NDA Football Head Coaches Wanted:  NDA is accepting applications for all levels of football (3rd-8th).  Anybody interested in head coach positions at NDA please contact John Beirne (648-9246) or Brian McCauley (409-1816).  Deadline for applying is Feb 15th.

ARCHDIOCESAN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY MASS  Couples celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20 & 25 years of marriage in 2012 are invited to a Diocesan Mass of Thanksgiving by Archbishop Joseph Kurtz.  Family members are also invited to this celebration on Saturday, February 11 at 5:30 p.m. at Holy Family Parish, 3926 Poplar Level Road.  Call Debbie at 448-4008 to register.  Registration deadline is Wednesday, February 1st.

 

CATHOLIC DIRECTORY  The 2012 Catholic Directory for the Archdiocese of Louisville is now available at the office of The Record, Maloney Center, 1200 South Shelby Street, Louisville KY  40203.  The Directory includes the following:  Sunday and holy day masses at all churches; a listing of all parishes, schools Archdiocesan agencies, priests, deacons and religious; and other information of interest.  The cost is $21.20 per book if picked up and $23.85 each by mail.  Make checks payable to The Record.  Credit cards also are accepted.
