Purpose:
Our program is to help the youth of our
community to grow spiritually in their
faith. The youth group offers the following:
welcoming atmosphere for teens of all
backgrounds, social activities and community
out reach.
How to join:
We meet Sundays, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. from
September through May in the Youth Room (Old
library space at MQOP, St. Helen Campus),
then from June through August, 6:30 - 8:30
p.m. on Tuesdays in the Youth Room.
History:
Youth Group has been involved in several
areas. The youth has a booth in the Church
picnic, has worked at St. Joseph Picnic, has
served food at Kids Café, has prayer
partnered with the homebound and provides
Christmas Caroling and participates in Youth
Mass. Youth group has attended Quest
(Archdiocese conference), NCYC (National
Catholic Youth Conference) and New Song
Christian Music Festival. Some of the
social activities in the past have been
pizza and scary movie night, annual Kings
Island Trip, ice skating, bowling, visits to
Waverly Hills, swimming, and Haunted
Hayride/Corn Maze.
